Jamaica compared to Sweden

Jamaica is different from Sweden in many ways. Jamaica is a tropical island with beautiful white beaches and Sweden is a European country with forests, mountains and lakes.
In Jamaica you can smell the ocean and the spices from different restaurants while walking on the beach road. It's not at all like in Sweden, but it can rain a lot in Jamaica and it can get very cold in the mountains. Although, I really prefer Jamaica's climate and rather than Sweden's.

Sweden has got a much larger population than Jamaica. Jamaica has problems with poverty, drugs and criminality. Especially cannabis is very common in Jamaica. Sweden is one of of the world's richest countries and hasn't got the same problems. You can really notice the differences between the two countries while living in Jamaica.
Jamaica's BNP per person is 5 290 dollars and Sweden's BNP is 58 887 dollars. The unemployment in Sweden is almost twice as low as in Jamaica.

The cultures also has many differences. The reggae music is a big part of the culture. It's very different from the swedish music. The jamaicans has a very different style of clothing than the swedes. Sweden is one of the most non-religious countries in the world. The religion is very important in Jamaica and it controls the society.
